Summary of Project:
This home marks a departure from the Colorado Rustic style that defined the client’s previous residences. Our vision was to blend contemporary design with organic, comfortable elements—layered with thoughtfully curated custom pieces—to create a sanctuary tailored for peaceful, intentional living.
Designed as a retreat for quilting, reading, and quiet restoration, the home reflects the client’s desire for a deeply personal and tranquil environment. Referred to us through a mutual connection, the project was grounded in trust, allowing for true collaboration, creative exploration, and a shared vision brought fully to life.
Project Highlights
Strong symmetry: Having an open concept floorplan can sometimes make for a tricky floorplan. This living room needed to be anchored so that it didn't bleed into the smaller-scaled dining area.
Contrasting color palette: The colors of this project were a study in contrast, pairing saturated, grounding hughes with airy, desaturated tones. The interplay creates a contemporary vibe that feels both composed and quietly expressive. We especially love the light pink bed paired with deep purple wall sconces.
Custom Cabinets: Adding cabinets to either side of the fireplace helped make the space feel balanced in addition to adding functional storage for firewood and media.
